Comedian Matt S. McCormick will debut his new solo stand-up show, Bette Davis SMIZE, at QueerCom on June 17th at The PIT on the Striker Main Stage. QueerCom is Pride Weekend's Unofficial LGBTQIA Comedy Festival, highlighting New York City's funniest LGBTQIA comics in every medium.

Bette Davis SMIZE is a 40 minute stand-up show in which McCormick will take on some of his favorite subjects including (but not limited to): adoption, aging, marriage, Marie Osmond, vape life, and the Zombie Apocalypse.

As a comedian, McCormick has performed at clubs throughout New York City, including Stand Up NY, Broadway Comedy Club, and Caroline's on Broadway - where he emceed Kendall Ketchum's Breakout Artist Series show. In addition to QueerCom, he's participated in the Solocom and Cinder Block Comedy Festivals.

He has had previous successes throughout the city with his other solo shows "A Friend of Dorothy (Zbornak)", "Broad Shoulders", and "The Matt Show".

McCormick is also the producer & host of "Go Ricki!", a super fun monthly comedy show based on topics from Ricki Lake's 90's talk show, at QED Astoria. Described as "bananas", the show has been featured several times in Time Out New York. It was just recently announced that "Go Ricki!" will be a part of the 2nd Cinder Block Comedy Festival in Brooklyn in September 2017.

As a writer, his original pilot treatment is featured in the book "Write to TV: Out of Your Head & Onto the Screen" by Martie Cook.
