Author Mark Brennan Rosenberg is offering his first ever musical book reading series entitled "How to Date a F**ing Loser" September 10th and 15th at 9:30 at The Duplex Theatre located at 61 Christopher Street.

The event is being described as a musical book reading of Rosenberg's critically acclaimed book "Blackouts and Breakdowns" and other published essays. "How to Date A F**ing Loser" is a 90 minute reading set to music where Mark will teach the audience how to meet the most ineligible bachelors in the New York tri-state area. Rosenberg and his "diva girls" will instruct you on how to end up alone, bitter and with a giant set of blue balls. By the end of the night, it's promised that you too will find out how to date a f***ing loser.

Rosenberg will be joined on stage with his three "diva girls" who will be doing a majority of the singing for the evening. They include Megan Crain (debut album currently available at www.megancrain.com) Nikki Kimbrough ("Dreamgirls" Broadway tour) and Sally Schwab ("A Broadway Diva Christmas"). The musical book reading will be musically directed by Jessica Stewart.

This may be the first musical book reading Rosenberg has hosted but it certainly isn't his first time he's had special guests involved. The Snapple Theatre and the famed Jerry Orbach Theatre have been home to sold out readings of Rosenberg's work that have included appearances by: Nick Blaemire (Glory Days, Bring it On: the Musical), Todd Buonopane (30 Rock, Spelling Bee), Celina Carvajal (The Toxic Avenger, Legally Blonde: the Search for the next Elle Woods), Marti Gould Cummings (Broadway Speaks OUT), Tom D'Angora (NEWSical: the musical, Diva's I've Done), Maya Days (title role in Aida, Rent), Emily McNamara (nightlife Diva, Awesome 80's Prom), Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu), Marla Schaffel (Tony nominee for Jane Eyre) and Shonn Wiley (Jersey Boys, 42nd Street). He has also held sold out book readings at Theatre Row on 42nd Street.
