Acclaimed NYC jazz-pop vocalist-songwriter Marcus Goldhaber presents the CD Release Concert for Almost Love, his third CD and first of all original standards on Wednesday, October 10th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 W. 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave.). Showtime is 9:30 p.m.

Marcus will be accompanied by a six-piece band – Ted Rosenthal (piano), Martin Wind (bass), Willard Dyson (drums), Sean Harkness (guitar), Joel Frahm (sax), and Chris Hoffman (cello) – plus special guest vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli.

At the event, Marcus will be effortlessly mixing selections from Almost Love with his personal favorites from the Great American Songbook, introducing a unique sound that’s both new and familiar.

Almost Love is due Oct. 9 on Fallen Apple Records. Marcus’ first two albums have garnered tremendous praise, and he's gaining a fast reputation among critics and fans for his accessible songwriting and intimate approach to straight-ahead jazz with Chet Baker’s cool sensibility, Harry Connick Jr.’s confidence, Art Garfunkel’s gentleness, and John Pizzarelli’s genial hipness.

Contact the Laurie Beechman at 212.695.6909. Tickets cost $15. Click HERE to purchase.
