The incomparable Mandy Patinkin, with Paul Ford on piano, returns to New York for an exclusive 4-week engagement of his critically acclaimed one-man show, Mandy Patinkin In Concert, at Dodger Stages, the new Off-Broadway theatre complex located at 340 West 50th Street from Monday, September 20 through Sunday, October 17.

The critics have praised Mandy "The greatest entertainer on Broadway today - period" (New York Post), "The most exciting time I've had in the theatre in ages" (NY Daily News), and "A musical force of nature" (The New Yorker).

Mandy Patinkin In Concert will feature songs from Rodgers & Hammerstein to Sondheim to Harry Chapin.

Mandy Patinkin can be currently seen in the Showtime series "Dead Like Me", which premiered during the Summer of 2003.  His feature film credits include Pinero, Men with Guns, Lulu On The Bridge, The Princess Bride, Yentl, The Music of Chance, Daniel, Ragtime, Impromptu, The Doctor, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Alien Nation, Dick Tracy, The House on Carroll Street, True Colors, Maxie and Squanto: Indian Warrior.

Mandy won a 1995 Emmy Award for his critically acclaimed performance in the CBS series, "Chicago Hope".  Other television appearances include the Showtime film Strange Justice, playing Quasimodo opposite Richard Harris in the TNT film presentation of The Hunchback, a film version of Arthur Miller's Broken Glass and special appearances in the series "Law & Order", "Touched By An Angel" and "Boston Public".

In his 1980 Broadway debut Mandy won a Tony Award for his role as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita, was nominated for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George and was nominated for his starring role in The Wild Party.  In 1991 he returned to Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden, in 1992 appeared as Marvin in Falsettos and in 1997 played a sold-out engagement of his one-man concert, with all profits going to benefit five charitable organizations. Other stage credits include The Winter's Tale, The Knife, Henry IV, Part I, Leave It to Beaver is Dead, Rebel Women, Hamlet, Trelawney of the 'Wells,' The Shadow Box, The Split, Savages and most recently Enemy of the People at the Williamstown Theater Festival.

In 1989, Mandy began his concert career at Joseph Papp's Public Theater.  This coincided with the release of his first solo album entitled Mandy Patinkin.  Since then he has toured extensively, appearing to sold-out audiences across the United States, Canada and in London, performing songs from writers including Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Adam Guettel and Harry Chapin, among others.  In 1990 he released his second solo album entitled Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Dress Casual.  His 1994 recording, Experiment, on the Nonesuch label, features songs from nine decades of popular music from Irving Berlin to Alan Menken.  Also recorded on the Nonesuch label are Oscar & Steve, Leonard Bernstein's New York and Kidults.  During the Summer of 1998, Mandy debuted his most personal project, Mamaloshen, a collection of traditional, classic and contemporary songs sung entirely in Yiddish. The stage production of Mamaloshen was performed on and off-Broadway and continues to tour throughout the country.  The recording of Mamaloshen won the Deutschen Schallplattenpreis (Germany's equivalent of the Grammy Award). During February 2002, Mandy created a live recording of his newest production Celebrating Sondheim. It was released as his 5th solo CD on the Nonesuch label entitled Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim Celebrating Sondheim, was performed on Broadway and continues to tour.  Mandy resides in New York City with his wife, actress and writer Kathryn Grody, and their two sons.
