Mamma Mia!, 'Beauty' Etc. to Perform at Bryant Park 7/29
Disney's Beauty and the Beast, ending its hit 13-year Broadway run on July 29th at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, and Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' global hit Mamma Mia!, now in its 6th sold out year at the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway, will kick off the annual "Broadway in Bryant Park" outdoor summer concert series tomorrow, Thursday, July 12th. In the Heights and The 25th Annual Spelling Bee will also offer performances.
Mamma Mia! will appear at approximately 12:30 p.m. Carolee Carmello (Donna Sheridan), Gina Ferrall (Rosie), Joan Hess (Tanya), Carey Anderson (Sophie Sheridan), Andy Kelso (Sky) and the cast of "Mamma Mia!" will perform the hit ABBA songs "Lay All Your Love on Me," "The Winner Takes It All," Mamma Mia," and "Dancing Queen."
Disney's Beauty and the Beast will appear at approximately 12:50 p.m. Disney Channel star Anneliese van der Pol (Belle), Chris Hoch (Gaston) and Jeanne Lehman (Mrs. Potts) will perform "Me," "A Change in Me" and "Beauty and the Beast."
Radio station 106.7 FM presents the outdoor concert series at Bryant Park featuring performances from current and upcoming Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals. Beginning July 12th and continuing every Thursday, the series plays from 12:30 p.m. to approximately 1:45 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis at the park, located behind the New York Public Library on Sixth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets.
