MTC's Defiance Begins Performances Tonight

Manhattan Theatre Club's production of John Patrick Shanley's DEFIANCE will begin performances tonight, February 9 at New York City Center - Stage I in preparation for a Tuesday, February 28 opening night.

Directed by Doug Hughes, the cast features (in alphabetical order): Chris Bauer, Chris Chalk, Margaret Colin, Stephen Lang, Trevor Long and Jeremy Strong.

DEFIANCE is set on a United States Marine Corps base in North Carolina in 1971. Two officers, one black (Chalk) and one white (Lang), are on a collision course over race, women, and the high cost of doing the right thing.

The play is about power, love, and responsibility - who has it, who wants it, and who deserves it.

The performance schedule for DEFIANCE is: Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM, and Sunday evening performances at 7:00 PM.
