MRM Productions is very proud to present the multi-award winning Echoes of Etta: A Tribute to Etta James, featuring William Blake and Michael Thomas Murray, back at Joe's Pub for the show's first residency.

Echoes of Etta will celebrate this new on-going schedule with a special kick-off show on Wednesday June 4 at 9:30 pm, and will be performing every other month through the end of 2014.

Having just been awarded the prestigious 2014 MAC Award for Show of the Year, Blake (lead/co-creator) and Murray (music director/arranger/co-creator) and the entire Echoes team are back to deliver this energetic, no-holds-barred performance that has been moving audiences out of their seats for the last two years.

Murray says, "We are so humbled to have audiences return again and again for Echoes. We're having just as much fun performing this show as they are experiencing it. We also can't imagine a better place to have our first residency for the show than at Joe's Pub. It has always felt like a real home to us."

For anyone who hasn't yet seen the show, "Expect soul singing and live energy of epic proportions. This is the music of Etta James as it was meant to be performed - a fitting tribute to the Matriarch of the Blues," states Blake.

Blake, the Echoes band, and gorgeous back-up singers, The Peaches, excel with stellar musicality led by Michael Thomas Murray's rockin' authentic period arrangements with a contemporary twist. This combined with one of the greatest songbooks of all time is sure to have audiences jumping to their feet. Blake delivers palpable life to these long-loved classic songs in this musical testimonial to the legend who bridged the gap between Rock 'n' Roll and Rhythm and Blues.

Fans can expect to hear many of their favorite Etta James tunes such as, A Sunday Kind of Love, At Last, Tell Mama, You Can Leave Your Hat On, I'd Rather Go Blind, Something's Got A Hold On Me and Purple Rain, just to name a few.
