Motown the Musical actor, Stephen Cerf, is releasing a book, called "The Not So Starving Artist," about money management and investing for performers. Cerf's performing credits include: Jersey Boys, Spamalot, Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe, and Motown the Musical.

Says Cerf, "I wrote the book because I was tired of seeing my friends and co-workers struggle with their finances. You spend all this money on student loans to get a BFA in musical theater and then start down this seemingly neverending path to try to pay it all back. How can you get out of that hole? I wanted to outline a way to actually do it". Cerf also shares how to invest the money you make to become more financially independent. "I starting buying real estate and now I don't have to work a day job. My investments pay for me to live in NYC and focus all my time on my acting career. I wanted to share my knowledge and what I've done with the Broadway community so that others can get out of debt, make smart investments, and focus on what matters to them: their Art."

The book is available starting March 7th 2016 in paperback on Amazon.com and available for electronic download on Amazon.com as well.
