MIMRA CONCERT Comes To Húrra Reykjavík Today

MIMRA IN CONCERT will be coming to Reykjavík on June 21.

Through alternative pop music, MIMRA ambitiously sows numerous genres and sounds together to great effect, expertly manoeuvring between delicate sparseness and powerful vivacity.

Three talented musicians form the band are singer, songwriter and keyboard player María Magnúsdóttir, trumpet and synth player Sylvía Hlynsdóttir (Bjork, Jonas Sig) and Jara Holdert guitarist and singer. Jara herself is an extraordinary singer and songwriter from The Netherlands and will open for the band in concerts.

MIMRA's music is perfect for fans of Feist, Bat for Lashes and Laura Mvula and Jara's music derives from the songwriters of the 60s; Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
