Shakespeare's masterpiece about a soldier led into corruption by greed and darkness will have a run at the American Theatre of Actors (ATA) 314 West 54th St. 2nd Fl, NYC (btw 8th/9th avenues) directly after Labor Day, Wednesday - Saturday @ 8:00 p.m. (September 9 - 12 and 16 - 19) and Sunday @ 3:00 p.m. (September 13 & 20)

Director James Jennings has produced and directed the entire canon of Shakespeare's plays at ATA including Pericles, Julius Caesar, The Merchant of Venice, Cymbeline, Henry VIII, The Taming of The Shrew, andHamlet, which also featured Thomas Leverton in the title role (Mr. Leverton's wife, actress Shayna Lawson, appears as Lady MacDuff. The pair met playing romeo & Juliet under the direction of Jessica Jennings. Macbeth marks Jessica Jennings' 22nd appearance in a Shakespeare production with favorites including Imogen in Cymbeline and Kate inTaming of The Shrew.

Founded by Jennings, 40 years ago, the American Theatre of Actors - a New York institution - has presented more than 1,000 new works. ATA promotes the development of new playwrights, directors and actors and provides a creative atmosphere for all.
