Lone Star Theatre Co will be presenting a series of readings and concerts by Texas playwrights and composers as part of their third season in NYC.

The "Texas Reads" series which presents staged readings of new plays by Texas writers will include MEN OF GOD by David Davila, REMNANTS OF A DREAM by Ruth Cantrell, and THE CARE I NEED by Nilsa Reyna.

The "Texas Music / New York Stages." series will feature THE SONGS OF BENJAMIN B. WRIGHT, and SUEÑO POP SINGS SELENA: A 20TH ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE in collaboration with the popular Latin themed Broadway concert series, Sueño Pop.

The second annual Cinco De Mayo gala will feature Texas talent from the Broadway stage singing Country's biggest hits, and the season will conclude with a play festival of new plays written, rehearsed, and directed all in twenty-three hours. The 23 hour play festival will feature new plays by Emily Comisar, Amalia Ortiz, Judith Leora, and more - and they'll all be written in less than a day!

His dramatic story, as well as others from both sides of the U.S./Mexican border, is presented through narration, song and dance, blending imagery, pathos and humor in the style of magical realism.
