Just in time for Mother's Day, the Original Broadway Cast Recording of LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL, starring Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern will be available in retail stores on May 3, 2005. LITTLE WOMEN is a musical telling of Louisa May Alcott's classic story featuring the music of Jason Howland and the words of Mindi Dickstein.

The album is produced for records by Jason Howland, Kim Scharnberg and Joel Moss, and is being release on Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, Inc., on May 3rd.

On May 7th, between 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. there will be a special CD signing with the entire cast at the Virginia Theater located at 245 West 52nd Street, so come out and get your autographed copies!

Based on Alcott's own family experiences, LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL follows the time-honored tale of the March sisters as they grow up in Civil War America. This story blends family life, commitments and dreams as seen through the eyes of Jo March, a truly independent woman in her day.

Joining Sutton Foster (Jo) and Maureen McGovern (Marmee), LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL features Janet Carroll (Aunt March), Danny Gurwin (Laurie), John Hickok (Professor Bhaer), Amy McAlexander (Amy), Megan McGinnis (Beth), Jenny Powers (Meg), Robert Stattel (Mr. Laurence) and Jim Weitzer (John Brooke).
