The Saratogian reports that Broadway's Linda Eder will record her first live concert CD, to be titled LINDA LIVE, at tonight's concert at Skidmore College's Arthur Zankel Music Center.

"It's taken me this long to feel like myself when I perform. I don't hear all the voices of the singers I've always admired in my head anymore," Eder told the paper. "I'm free to be me."

The concert will feature songs from her past, including EVITA's "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina", Abba's "Fernando", THE SOUND OF MUSIC's "Climb E'vry Mountain" and more. Eder told the paper she envisions "a trip down a musical memory lane" for her live album.

Eder has appeared on Broadway as 'Lucy' in Jekyll & Hyde, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in 1997, and two solo concerts -- Linda Eder at the Gershwin (2001) and Linda Eder: The Holiday Concert (2004). She also starred in the World Premiere of The Civil War in Houston in 1998. The singer is currently offering Skype voice lessons as she continues to tour the country for cabaret performances.

Tickets to Eder's concert at the Arthur Zankel Music Center are available at the box office on the Skidmore College campus or online at www.skidmore.edu/zankel/ticketsevents.php.
