Pss, the secret is out: there's not much this dynamic duo can't do! Winner of 15 international prizes, the modern-day clowns of Switzerland's Compagnia Baccalà bring the award-winning Pss Pss to The New Victory Theater from May 19-20, 2018, for its New York Premiere.

Inspired by Chaplin, Keaton and the stars of silent films, Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari fumble through merry mishaps, absurd antics and priceless pas de deux that "transcends language and utterly captivates with imagination and fun" (Edinburgh Guide). Slapstick at its sweetest, Pss Pss celebrates the clumsy connection we make when we meet our match.

This timeless production has performed over 600 times in some 50 countries across 5 continents, earning the coveted Cirque du Soleil prize and the 2016 Swiss Theatre Award along the way. Having performed for sold out crowds at the London International Mime Festival, Avignon Festival France and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Pss Pss most recently received the 2018 Victor Award for Most Popular Show at the American conference of International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY).

Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari studied at the prestigious Teatro Dimitri clown school in Switzerland. In 2008, they launched Compagnia Baccalà--baccalà meaning "codfish"--in reference to an Italian expression that describes a bumbling person with big eyes. With Louis Spagna as Director, Valerio Fassari as Artistic Collaborator and Technical Manager and Christoph Siegenthaler as Lighting Designer, Compagnia Baccalà created their first full-length show, Pss Pss, to showcase a vaudevillian mix of theater, acrobatics and storytelling. Their intention was to create a show that could appeal to people regardless of age, gender, culture or class, and dispel preconceived notions about the comedy of clowning. The final touch? Adding in two delightfully charming characters who win hearts without saying a word.
