Lee Summers continues his open ended run of Winds of Change – Monday, May 11th at 9:30pm at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street (between Broadway & Columbus). Winds of Change, will feature standards, pop, R&B and Broadway, along with original songs by Summers.
The show features
Timothy Graphenreed (The Wiz) on piano, directed by
Leslie Dockery with featured guest vocalist: The Motown Cafe Moments (Formerly featured vocalists with Summers at New York's the Motown Cafe)
Dennis Stowe, Cary Gant, Ricky McDonald and Bobby Lewis. Also Featured: Nick Revel on Viola.
Lee Summers appeared in the original Broadway Production of Dreamgirls and reprised his same role in the Dreamgirls 20th Anniversary Benefit Performance.
Summers was also a featured vocalist at New York's Motown Café and later received critical acclaim from the New York Times for his work in Off-Broadway's Little Ham and as producer, conceiver, co-author, composer of From My Hometown www.fromyhometown.net (soon to be revived at the Triad) - and as co-author/composer of The Funkentine Rapture (www.funkentinerapture.com).
