2013 MetroStar Winner Lauren Stanford will bring Helen Morgan, to life in "More Than You Know." Directed by Eric Michael Gillett with Music Direction by Mike Pettry, the play contains songs the chanteuse made famous, including Jerome Kern's "Bill" and "Why Was I Born." Stanford wrote the piece, described as a dramatic recreation of Helen Morgan's 1932 cabaret act.

During the 2013 MetroStar competition Stanford was praised for being a "marvelous storyteller" and for "flashes of zany humor and insight that gave special dimension to her highly polished interpretations of a variety of songs." Since the competition she has appeared in the MAC Award winning Amanda McBroom Project and headlined The Metropolitan Room in her solo cabaret debut called "I'm a Stranger Here Myself."

The performances will take place at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on Sunday, October 26th and Sunday, November 2nd at 9:30pm. Tickets are $10 and there is a $15 food/beverage minimum. Reservations can be made by calling 212.695.6909 or online at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/9954868.
