Broadway star Lauren Elder's debut-album release concert will be held at the Slipper Room on Wednesday, January 25 at 8pm.

Elder, who appeared in HAIR and Side Show, will be joined by friends Haven Burton (Kinky Boots), Allison Guinn (On The Town, Hair), Kaitlin Kiyan (Hair), Maya Sharpe (Hair) and others at the show, which will feature the original music on the self-titled album as well as some of Lauren's favorite pop covers. The album, 'Lauren Elder,' features eight original songs.

"Lauren's catchy songs play over and over in my mind and her haunting ones give my soul exactly what it needs: truth. I love collaborating with Lauren and performing with her is the greatest joy," said composer-lyricist Bobby Cronin, who will also perform at the CD release show.

Elder, also known for her appearances in Boardwalk Empire (HBO), Louie (FX) and Law & Order: SVU (NBC), sings and plays ukulele on the tracks. She used crowdsourcing to finance the album, raising almost 50 percent more than her original goal from over 140 donors.

Tickets for the show are $15-$25 and can be ordered at www.slipperroom.com/event/1364089-guest-event-lauren-elder-in-new-york. "Lauren Elder" CD and digital download will be available starting January 25, 2017 (at laureneldermusic.com.
