Laura Benanti recently announced she will be joining the cast of the third season of Nashville. In anticipation of her new role, Buzzfeed asked her to take a look back at her career and describe the highs and lows in 30 seconds or less. From breaking her neck in Into the Woods to meeting a fan who couldn't separate the actress from the character in Law and Order: SVU, Laura shares her most memorable experiences from her past decade of performances. Benanti's Broadway credits include The Sound of Music, Swing!, Into the Woods, Something Good, Nine, The Wedding Singer, Gypsy - for which she won the 2008 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical - In the Next Room and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

Last year, she appeared in NBC's live presentation of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood.

Benanti's other TV credits include Law & Order: SVU, Royal Pains, Go On, The Playboy Club, Eli Stone, Starved and CBS's The Good Wife and Elementary.
