Benanti stars in the NBC series as Carol-Lynne, the very first 'Bunny.' The show premieres September 19, 2011.

The show centers on the drama surrounding the working-class bunnies (Amber Heard, Jenna Dewan) and their lovers in the 1960s. Chad Hodge (Runaway) and Brian Grazer (Lie to Me, Friday Night Lights) are executive producers.

Says Benanti of the role: "I'm a waitress who wears a tail...I play Carol-Lynne, based on the first Playboy Bunny ever, Bonnie Jo Halpin and I become the Bunny Mother of all the girls. It takes place in 1963 at The Chicago Club."

Benanti was last seen on Broadway in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, for which she received a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk Award, among others.  She is a previous Tony winner for Gypsy.
