LGBTQ+ Film Festival Returns To The Hanover Theatre ImageEnjoy an entire weekend of films created for, by and about the LGBTQ+ community when qFLIX Worcester: New England's LGBTQ+ Film Festival returns to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts, Thursday, October 11 through Sunday, October 15. Tickets are on sale now.

QFLIX, the largest LGBTQ+ arts and cultural event in the region, marks its second year in Worcester, inspiring the imagination and encouraging a journey of discovery and acceptance by the region's ever-growing LGBTQ+ and allied communities.

Meet the filmmakers, experience opening and closing night events and enjoy 15 LGBTQ+ films from around the world over four days. The festival opens on Thursday with a 6:30 pm reception and a showing of the film "Ideal Home" at 7:30 pm. Friday's films include "Mi Mejor Amigo" at 5 pm, "My Life with James Dean" at 7:15 pm and "Hooked" at 9:30 pm. Saturday features a glimpse into the world of LGBTQ+ web series, online storytelling and new film at 11 am, "Blindsided" and "After the Date" at 1:15 pm, "TransMilitary" at 3:30 pm, "Speed Walking" at 5:45 pm, "Shadowlands" at 8 pm and "Thirty Years of Adonis" at 10 pm. Sunday's films begin at 11 am with a mixed shorts program and continue with "Porcupine Lake" at 1:15 pm, "Devil's Path" at 3:30 pm, "Still Waiting in the Wings" at 5:45 pm and the closing film, "My Big Gay Italian Wedding," at 8 pm.

Tickets to qFLIX Worcester 2018 are $15 for opening and closing films and parties. All other films are $10. An all access badge is available for $75. Student and senior discounts are also available. The Hanover Theatre continues to draw over 197,000 patrons annually with world-class performances and headlining acts including Broadway hits ("Les Misérables," "Jersey Boys," "Something Rotten!"), comedians (Dave Chappelle, Jay Leno, Daniel Tosh), musical acts (Neil Young, Aretha Franklin, John Legend, Donny Osmond) and everything in between ("A Christmas Carol," Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Alton Brown). POLLSTAR consistently ranks The Hanover Theatre as one of the Top Theatres in the World. After nine seasons, the award-winning, historic theatre continues to establish its place as a world-class performing arts venue, acting as a catalyst for the economic development of downtown Worcester. The Hanover Theatre's acquisition of 551 Main Street houses new function space, offices, rental space for a restaurant on the ground floor and The Hanover Theatre Conservatory for the Performing Arts on the lower level.

Worcester Center for Performing Arts, a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, owns and operates The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
