Kentwood Kids Host CHARLOTTE'S WEB Auditions 2/20, 2/21

The Kentwood Players are delighted to announce auditions for the next Kentwood Kids Production, "Charlotte's Web" by Joseph Robinette, adapted from the book by E.B. White. Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21 from 4-6pm. at the Westchester Playhouse, located two blocks west of the San Diego Freeway and two blocks north of Manchester at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045. The production is directed by Meredith M. Sweeney.
All those interested in auditioning must be available for all six performances on Saturdays, April 3, 10, and 17 at 11:00am and 2:00pm. Please note that rehearsals will be held Sundays through Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm with some Saturday afternoons to be scheduled. There will be two Thursday rehearsals on April 1 (Final Dress) and April 8 (Brush-up).

All roles are open to children ages 6-16 years. Previous experience or involvement with the Kentwood Kids program is NOT necessary. Auditions will consist of readings from the script as well as movement and improv games. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (no sandals!) to the auditions and be familiar with the characters and story. Fern Arable, a young girl who can understand animals

"Extras" to play reporters, photographers, spectators, judges, fairgoers, announcers & spiders
It is preferred to have all kids in the cast, but adults are welcome to audition for the roles of John and Martha Arable, Homer and Edith Zuckerman, Lurvy and Uncle

The Kentwood Players general membership meetings are held at the Westchester Playhouse at 8:00 PM on the third Wednesday of each month and are open to the public. Attending will give you a chance to meet "Charlotte's Web" production team, learn more about this 60-year-old and highly successful community theatre group and our upcoming productions. Westchester Playhouse is located two blocks west of the San Diego Freeway and two blocks north of Manchester at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045.
