Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway headliner and recognizable small screen and big screen star Judith Light is set to reprise her memorable role on TNT's hit reboot of long-running nighttime soap DALLAS this season according to a new report.

Reboot creator and showrunner Cynthia Cidre confirms Light's return to the series in a new interview, also alluding to the character's all-too fascinating namesake.

Cidre relates, "On set they call her J.R., literally, because she's Judith Ryland."

Of course, iconic original series and reboot lead Larry Hagman passed away last year, just as Light's character was being introduced on the series, although they certainly shared a certain nefarious nature given their actions as seen on the show.

Furthermore, Cidre says of what fans can expect from Light on the new season, "She is better, badder, and more delicious than ever."

Of note, in between seasons, Light has managed to score her second Tony Award in as many years for her work in THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES.

DALLAS returns on TNT February 24.
