Joe Piscopo Joins 'Six Goumbas and a Wannabe' Reading

Noted actor and performer Joe Piscopo joins the upcoming reading of SIX GOUMBAS AND A WANNABE.  The reading scheduled for June 19 at the Westside Theatre in midtown Manhattan and is being produced by Gardenia Productions.

Joe Piscopo is known for his work on Saturday Night Live, his cable specials (for which he won a Cable ACE Award) and several films including the cult comedy classic, JOHNNY DANGEROUSLY.

Playwright Vincent Gogliormella said, "I am thrilled to welcome Mr. Piscopo to the Goumbas family."

SIX GOUMBAS AND A WANNABE is a hysterical and heartwarming story about the twenty year reunion of a group of "neighborhood guys" with emotional ties and a bond so strong that it makes twenty years seem like only twenty minutes.    A wild night in Atlantic City leads the six "Goumbas" (one deceased) and the "Wannabe"  to re-live many hilarious moments and reveal a few surprising never heard before secrets from their old Brooklyn days.  Playwright Vincent Gogliormella is the nephew of the late actor Vincent Gardenia.

Joe Piscopo joins a cast that already includes Cara Buono, Federico Castelluccio,Jason Kravits, Gianna Palminteri, Kathrine Narducci and  Michael Rispoli.
