Michael Howard Studios, in association with The Present Company as part of the 18th Annual New York International Fringe Festival present KISS YOUR BRUTAL HANDS - written and performed by Jim Shankman and directed by Craig J. George - at Fringe Venue #12 - 64E4 Underground (66-68 East 4th Street, btw. Bowery and 2nd Avenue).

KISS YOUR BRUTAL HANDS will be presented on the following dates/times:

Danny lives in Tompkins Square Park on the border of reality and reality TV. Barry's got a corner office in TriBeCa where the pressure is unreal. Two men, who on the surface appear to be worlds apart, but underneath both dealing with universal issues...sex, guilt and their connection to God and both are having a very bad day. In Jim Shankman's KISS YOUR BRUTAL HANDS, some men are destroyed by God and some are destroyed without Him.

Jim Shankman is the author of twelve plays - they include: "Suicide Math" (2013 New York International Fringe Festival), "Alien Child" (staged readings at The New Group and Abingdon Theatre), "Heatless Bastard" (New Jersey Rep Monday Salon Reading Series), "Electric Light" and "Fortress of Solitude" (developmental readings at The New Group), "Sleep With Me," and "A Jew From East Jesus" (Finalist of the 2013 Jewish Plays Project." As an actor, Jim's credits include: "Once In a Lifetime" and "Grease" (both on Broadway), "Perfect Crime" (Off-Broadway), "Jericho," "End of Days," and Yankee Tavern" (all New Jersey Rep), to name a few. Jim is currently the Director of Scene Study in the Conservatory Program at Michael Howard Studios.

Jim presented a shorter version of KISS YOUR BRUTAL HANDS during the 2013 United Solo Festival, for which he was awarded "Best Actor."

Craig J. George is a NYC based stage director, his credits include "Taming of the Shrew" (Off-Broadway, The Duke on 42nd Street); "Titus: A Grand and Gory Rock Musical" (world premiere, director/adapter, Cleveland Public Theatre); "God's Country" (New York Musical Theatre Festival); "The Aperture" (world premiere, Winner of the Kennedy's Center's Rosa Parks Playwright Award, Cleveland Public Theatre & The New York International Fringe Festival); "Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays" (regional premiere, Cleveland Public Theatre); etc.

Design team for KISS YOUR BRUTAL HANDS is Craig J. George, sets, lights and sound and Ian Kevin Scott, specialty props and costumes.
