Cody Wins Annie Award for THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG

Broadway favorite Jennifer Cody, who voiced Charlotte LaBouff in the Disney hit 'The Princess and the Frog', has won the Annie Award given to her by the International Animated Film Society on February 6 for her voice work in the Disney animated feature. Cody won the award in the category of Voice Acting in a Feature Production.

Cody's Broadway credits include Shrek: The Musical, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Pajama Game, Taboo, Urinetown, Seussical, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, and Cats.

Disney's 'The Princess and the Frog' features three other major Broadway voices, including Anika Noni Rose, Micheal Leon Wooley (American Buffalo, Little Shop of Horrors), and Peter Bartlett (Drowsy Chaperone, Beauty and the Beast). The film is set in New Orleans and feature the Walt Disney Studio's first black princess. Oprah Winfrey also appears in the cast as Eudora, the mother to Princess Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Caroline of Change, Footloose). John Goodman, Jenifer Lewis, and Keith David also star.

The movie is written and directed by John Musker and Ron Clements and features the music of Randy Newman, who wrote 6 new songs for the film. For more information visit, www.disney.go.com.
