Jason Graae, Brent Barrett and Elizabeth Stanley to Star in Music Circus' SUGAR, 7/23-28

In this musical comedy version of the film Some Like It Hot, Jerry (Daphne) will be played by Jason Graae, a Broadway and Music Circus veteran who returns after performing in past Music Circus hits including Anything Goes and last summer's The Music Man. Joining in on his comical antics as Joe (Josephine) will be Brent Barrett, who has appeared in a number of Broadway shows including Chicago and Annie Get Your Gun. Stage and screen actor Elizabeth Stanley, the originAl Allison in Cry-Baby on Broadway, will play Sugar Kane. Back after over a dozen Music Circus productions will be Lenny Wolpe, this time portraying the role of Osgood Fielding, Jr. Brad Bradley, who performed in Spamalot and Billy Elliot on Broadway, will play Spats Palazzo. Playing the role of Bienstock will be Ray DeMattis, a stage director and actor whose Broadway credits include Little Shop of Horrors and City of Angels. Sweet Sue will be played by Alix Korey, who was in last season's acclaimed Music Circus production of Crazy for You. Director for this production of Sugar is Glenn Casale, Choreographer is John MacInnis and Music Director is Dennis Castellano. This will be the 3rd Music Circus production of the show. It was previously done in 1975 and 1981. Music Circus is produced under the leadership of California Musical Theatre Artistic DirectorGlenn Casale and Executive Producer Scott Klier. California Musical Theatre President and CEO is Richard Lewis.
