Back Stage reports that Tony Award-winner Janet McTeer will be featured opposite Brendan Gleeson in "Churchill at War," the HBO Films/BBC Films follow-up to the earlier acclaimed Winston Churchill biopic "The Gathering Storm."

Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Braveheart) will play the British prime minister, while McTeer will appear as his wife Clemmie (played by Vanessa Redgrave in "The Gathering Storm."  Written by Hugh Whitemore, directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan and presented by Scott Free Productions and Rainmark Films, "Churchill at War" "explores how the traits that made Churchill a great wartime leader during World War II were the same ones that resulted in his ouster within weeks of the war's end."  The film, which will be produced by Frank Doelger, Tracey Scoffield and Ann Wingate, will also take a look at the Churchills' marriage.  Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and Julie Payne are the executive producers.

McTeer will also be seen in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming HBO Films version of Shakespeare's As You Like It and the five-part HBO miniseries "Five Days."  She won an Olivier Award for her performance in London's A Doll's House, and reprised the performance on Broadway, where she won a Tony Award.  Other West End credits include Mary Stuart.  Film work includes Wuthering Heights, Carrington, Tumbleweeds, Songcatcher, Waking the Dead and The King is Alive.
