DO THIS ONE THING FOR ME explores the relationship between Elias and her father, Beni, a Greek Jew who survived Auschwitz. Now more than fifty years since he lost almost everything in the final hours of WWII, he just wants to dance with his daughter at her wedding. Not too much to ask, right?

Juxtaposing several time periods and narratives, the play wryly investigates the ways in which survivor experiences inform the lives of the next generation, and highlights the delicate balance between family legacy and the quest for independence. But ultimately, DO THIS ONE THING FOR ME is one woman's heartfelt love letter to her dad.

DO THIS ONE THING FOR ME, written and performed by Jane Elias; directed by Tracy Bersley; developed with Matt Hoverman; lighting design by Renée Molina
