On Sunday February 28th at 3pm Ivy Theatre Company presents a debut reading of TRIAL, a new play by Ashley Griffin (creator of the pop culture phenomenon Forever Deadward,) at 150 West 30th Street, 14th Floor. RSVP by emailing ivytheatre@gmail.com.

Trial beautifully and movingly deals with the subject of child abuse. Child molestation is sadly one of the most common, and most commonly unreported, crimes in our country. Guilt often assumed by the victim; the result is tragedy. At every reading almost every audience member has come up to Ashley and shared a story of how they, a family member, or friend experienced something similar to the main character Kay, and shared that they were grateful that Ashley was talking about this issue - which often gets ignored in commercial art for being dark and difficult of subject matter.

Featuring Sara Jean Ford (The Phantom Of The Opera), Steve Hauck (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Tod Engle (Richard II,) Jillian Louis (It Shoulda Been You,) Ryan McCurdy (Once,) Tricia Paoluccio (Fiddler On The Roof,) Roxy Reynolds (Bare), Written by Ashley Griffin (Forever Deadward), Directed by Madeline O'Hara (Blogologues).
