Violinist Itzhak Perlman will join the New York Philharmonic, led by Music Director Alan Gilbert, for a program of works from Hollywood and Vienna, including music from the films Cinema Paradiso, Casablanca, Scent of a Woman, Out of Africa, and Schindler's List (which he played on the film's soundtrack), along with a set of showpieces by Kreisler, Monday, April 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. The program will include orchestral works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Schubert, and Beethoven. As previously announced, this concert replaces Henry V: A Shakespeare Scenario, narrated by Christopher Plummer, which will be rescheduled.
Tickets for this performance start at $35.
