Tuesday, November 6 begins International City Theatre's 80-day countdown to its next production-a zany and fun-filled stage adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days.

In anticipation of one of the greatest travel adventures of all time, International City Theatre (ICT) wants to document the many ways we get around. Over the next 80 days, adults 18 and older are asked to send in photos of themselves in the process of getting somewhere-anywhere-for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the production. Anyone submitting a photo will be automatically entered into one of eleven weekly drawings, and ticket winners will become eligible for a grand-prize drawing for two free subscriptions to the remaining four shows in ICT's 2013 season. All submitted photos will be considered for incorporation into ICT's lobby display at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Contestants are urged to have fun; photos may be serious or silly, real or imagined.

In Mark Brown's stage adaptation of Jule's Vernes' classic, 1872 adventure tale, five actors portray 39 characters traversing seven continents. Danger, romance and comic surprises abound as Phileas Fogg and his resourceful servant, Passepartout, face everything from stampeding elephants to raging typhoons to runaway trains in their race to beat the clock.

Around the World in 80 Days will run January 25 through February 17 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, with low-priced previews on January 23 and 24.

For more information and to submit photos, go to www.InternationalCityTheatre.com. Contestants must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. All submissions must be received by January 25, 2013.
