In the Spotlight Series: Meet the 2015 Tony Nominees- Beth Malone

Earlier this month, the 2015 Tony nominees gathered to meet the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big day. Below, meet Beth Malone, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical nominee for Fun Home.

Beth has been part of Fun Home through most of its formative stages, including the Sundance Theatre Lab and the critically acclaimed run at The Public Theatre. Beth spent much of last year at The Denver Center, starring as Molly Brown in the world premiere of a wholly reimagined version of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, directed by Kathleen Marshall. Other original Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire, Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes, and Alison in Bingo!. Regional theatre appearances include 9 to 5, The Break Up Notebook, Annie Get Your Gun, LES MISERABLES, and the world premiere of Sister Act. Beth holds an MFA from UC Irvine. Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming will co-host the 69th Annual Tony Awards® on Sunday, June 7. The show will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City from 8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT, on the CBS Television Network. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
