This week's New York Times In Performance video features Peter Sarsgaard in the title role of the new production of HAMLET from the Classic Stage Company. In the scene, Hamlet seeks revenge against Claudius, and considers how to confront his mother about her hasty remarriage. Click here to watch!

Classic Stage Company's production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET, stars acclaimed actor Peter Sarsgaard as Hamlet and is directed by Austin Pendleton. HAMLET marks the third collaboration between Sarsgaard and Pendleton at CSC; they teamed previously on Uncle Vanya and Three Sisters.

Joining Sarsgaard in the cast are Penelope Allen (Gertrude),Jim Broaddus (Player King/others), Glenn Fitzgerald (Laertes),Austin Jones (Horatio), Lisa Joyce (Ophelia), Scott Parkinson(Rosencrantz/others), Daniel Morgan Shelley(Guildenstern/others), Stephen Spinella (Polonius) and Harris Yulin (Claudius). Previews for HAMLET began Friday, March 27 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 10.

Peter Sarsgaard other stage credits include The Seagull, Burn This, Kingdom of Earth.
