IDYLLWILD, Calif., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Idyllwild Arts (IA) Summer Program is offering scholarships sponsored by the San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians to bring teachers to Native American Arts workshops at the campus. These funds are intended to benefit both the scholarship recipients themselves as well as their students and communities when they return home. The expenses covered by the scholarship will include tuition, lab fees, registration fees, dorm housing, and all meals in the campus dining hall.

The Idyllwild Arts Summer Program offers workshops for adults in Native American arts and cultures on the beautiful campus in the San Jacinto Mountains in the heart of the Inland Empire. Exhibits, lectures, demonstrations and performances complement these programs throughout the summer. IA offers deep discounts for full-time teachers in all other Adult Arts Center Workshops as well.

About Idyllwild Arts Summer Program:
The IA Summer Program, now in its 65 th year, runs from June 14 - August 8, 2015. It offers a rich and varied schedule of two-day to three-week long, hands-on arts workshops for passionate practicing professional/non-professional artists, children, youth, and families. The wide range of classes include music, dance, theatre, filmmaking, visual arts, ceramics, jewelry, painting, creative writing as well as classes in Native American arts. The renowned Native American Arts Festival also takes place during the Summer Program and showcases the work of notable Native American artists.

Drawing nearly 2,000 students of all ages, this program features the enormously popular Children's, Youth, and Adult Programs as well as Family Camp, a program that enables the whole family to participate in a week-long schedule of art classes and family-friendly activities. During the Program, students work with instructors and professional artists in an intensely focused, yet relaxed setting that provides a creative environment, detailed technical instruction, and personal attention to individual artistic needs.
