The highly anticipated film INTO THE WOODS had its premiere Monday night, December 8th at New York's City's Ziegfeld Theatre. The film hits theaters on December 25th, is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.

In a recent People Magazine feature, the cast opens up about creating the film. Emily Blunt told People: "I realized how much I enjoyed singing on this film. I felt like this was a really joyous experience. Once everyone got over themselves and the fear of singing in front of each other - which is why people need to be drunk for karaoke, I think - it's really personal and challenging."

Chris Pine shared: "I love singing and being on the same call sheet as Meryl Streep, and to be directed by someone like Rob Marshall and do music like this. Even though I'm no huge devotee, [composer Stephen] Sondheim is a legend."
