IMPROV 4 KIDS Adds Summer Daytime Shows

Once again Comedy Troupe, EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, add Matinee performances of its family programming, Improv 4 Kids for the summer break. Public performances will be held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 3pm from June 22 through August 16 at the Broadway Comedy Club (318 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019). Tickets ($20-35) to the interactive musical comedy can be purchased via Ovationtix (866-811-4111).

Come be a part of the show. Many will become stars for the day on stage while the entire audience helps the professional cast create original skits and songs on the spot. Perhaps the roster of regulars is ever growing because no two shows are ever the same. Young fans want to make sure cast is keeping up with latest TV shows, movies and trends. "Older" fans love the quick wit and original characters. Don't let the name , "Kids" fool you. This show is for all ages to enjoy together. So beat the heat of the midday sun and come enjoy the AC, drinks and the original comedy show all summer long.

Since 2004, Improv 4 Kids has performed over 400 shows for K-12 and family audiences every year at schools, camps, parks, and private events. In addition to public shows at the Broadway Comedy Club, the cast also hosts field trips with student groups from around the world and local schools, camps and non-profits trips every day in Times Square.

In addition to weekly shows in the evening for the 18 and over crowd at the Broadway Comedy Club, EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH (AKA LMAO Off-Broadway) also tours nationwide to colleges, theaters, clubs, fundraisers and corporate events. The troupe also has a regular series of online comedy videos (geared for the 18+ crowd as well).

The second annual Teen Summer Camps starts July 8. For a full week, students (ages 9-17) study Improv & Stand-Up Comedy with daily classes and mock performances. At the end of the week, students perform a public showcase for friends and family. Last year a few students were "discovered" by a few talent scouts and are now getting auditions (and some work) in commercials, TV and film (More to come). Weekly classes for kids and teens resume this fall, Saturdays at Noon.
