I HOPE THEY SERVE BEER ON BROADWAY to Open at George Street Playhouse on 10/30
The smash Off-Off Broadway hit, I Hope they Serve Beer on Broadway By Tucker Max set tongues wagging with its blunt dialogue about sex in America this past summer. The sold out June NYC run of the show is slated to open at The Black Box at George Street Playhouse, 9 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ on October 30, 2013 in a new production produced by Smugbug, LLC.
Igniting fiery debate over its frat culture parody and artifact, the overtly frank theatrical dialogue about sex and sexuality caused intensive online debate and commentary on social media. The same hilarious NC-17 script that was seen in NYC is being performed in the home of one of the North East's largest public universities. And, yes, alcohol will be available during the performances for purchase (for those 21 and over).
I Hope They Serve Beer on Broadway by Tucker Max will be directed by Dan Swern.
"More great productions will follow as the published script seeds the ongoing intellectual conflagration about sex, drinking, frat culture and its satire and analysis in America," commented playwright Christopher Carter Sanderson.
I Hope They Serve Beer on Broadway By Tucker Max struck a cord with the "generation Y" consumer, thereby creating a vast new audience for the theater. Dan Swern is the founder of Smugbug LLC.
