Variety reports that two plays by Boston-based playwright Ronan Noone will be presented at the Huntington Theatre Company.

Campbell Scott will star in Noone's one-man play The Atheist from September 12th through 30th.  The production "centers on (an) unscrupulous journalist who finds himself in the middle of a scandal," and will be directed by Huntington artistic associate Justin Waldman.  It will be presented at the company's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion.

Noone's new play Brendan will also have its premiere at the Huntington in October.

The son of legendary actors Colleen Dewhurst and George C. Scott, Campbell Scott has appeared on Broadway in Ah! Wilderness, Long Day's Journey Into Night, Hay Fever, The Real Thing and The Queen and the Rebels.
