Howard Kissel Dropped from Daily News; Moving to Huffington Post

According to a recent article in the Daily News, 'The Cultural Tourist' writer Howard Kissel will be making a move to the Huffington Post do to restructuring at the Daily News website.

In his most recent article for 'The Cultural Tourist,' Kissel writes, "This will likely be my last post on the Daily News website. I was informed a month ago that there will be a major redesign of the site and The Cultural Tourist will not be part of it. As of the first of the year, when I will write about a new production of Verdi's "La Traviata" at the Met, my work will appear on The Huffington Post."

Kissel moves on to The Huffington Post, founded by Arianna Huffington, Kenneth Lerer, and Jonah Peretti, featuring various news sources and columnists.The site offers coverage of politics, media, business, entertainment, living, style, the green movement, world news, and comedy, and has news, blogs, and original content. The Huffington Post was launched on May 9, 2005, as a commentary outlet and alternative to news websites like the Drudge Report.
