SATURDAY LATE NIGHT at The Highline Ballroom:

The Rewind Show with live performances and celebrity DJs

21 or over to enter

Doors at 10:30pm, Show at 11:00pm

$20 at door

RSVP to info@4kent.com

The Rewind Show is a vision we have had for as long as we have been in the business of night clubs and event planning. We are tired of the same concept that every night-club in NYC has been stuck with over the years and think that it's time to change the way to party! As we all know nothing can compare to a live performance and therefore we have created the Rewind Show! We want to bring an experience like no other by combining the live music of the 80's Rock & Roll era along with the best DJ's spinning the present hits. Every Saturday night, the Highline Ballroom will operate as a high-end night club to let people experience the Rewind Show. (http://therewindshow.com/)

Tuesday, June 1

DIANE BIRCH

Doors at 8:00pm, Show at 9:00pm

$15

Singer-songwriter Diane Birch took half her lifetime, and traveled across the globe, to get to America, where she literally found her voice and made her remarkable debut, Bible Belt. Though only in her mid-twenties, Birch likes to think of herself as an "old soul," and indeed there is a startling maturity in her singing and a veteran's self-assurance in her writing. Over the course of Bible Belt's thirteen songs Diane Birch has served up her own portrait of American music in all its breadth and majesty, touching down on Beale Street, Bourbon Street, Tin Pan Alley, Laurel Canyon, South Philly, Brooklyn street corners and many points in between. Hers is a tour-de-force debut album.

Wednesday, June 2

BASIA

Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 8:00pm

$35 adv, $40 at door

The Polish-born Basia crossed the Iron Curtain in the '80s to become an international pop singer and fixture on "jazz-lite" stations everywhere.

Thursday, June 3

ANBERLIN with Story of the Year, Terrible Things (former members of Taking Back Sunday, Coheed & Cambria and Hot Rod Circuit)

Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 6:30pm

$15

Hailing from Orlando, FL and led by the soaring vocals of Stephen Christian, Anberlin presents an alternative pop/rock sound that, while inflected with the earnestness of emo, is closer to the mature stylings of Third Eye Blind. Anberlin has played alongside Fall Out Boy and Story of the Year and are currently signed to Universal Republic Records.

Friday, June 4

THE SLACKERS with Jordan Valentine & The Sunday Saints, Caroloregians vs. Moon Invaders, Karuhata and DJ 100 DBs spinning doors to show

Doors at 7:00pm, Show at 8:30pm

$17 adv, $20 at door

The Slackers sound is Jamaican rock n roll. While they have been influenced, and even personally taught by Jamaican ska/reggae originators, like the Skatalites and the Upsetters (Original backing band for the Wailers), the band sees its music through an American lens. This band is equally appreciative of old blues, 60s soul, rock, and Rnb as it is of reggae, rocksteady, dub, and Ska. Formed in 1991, the band has released 15 CDs, headlined over 30 major tours and appeared on the stages of the world's biggest festivals.

Saturday, June 5 JACE EVERETT

Performing "Bad Things" - the theme from True Blood- and other songs

Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 8:00pm

$12 adv, $15 at door

"I can definitely say this is an honest record from top to bottom," says Jace of his self-titled debut album. Country music with hell-raising rockers and soul-baring ballads, the record is a musical biography of an entertainer who's paid his dues in just about every kind of day job you can imagine and who's already played all over the world in his young life. "Bad Things," the title track, showcases that darker, rowdier side.
