The Rewind Show is a vision we have had for as long as we have been in the business of night clubs and event planning. We are tired of the same concept that every night-club in NYC has been stuck with over the years and think that it's time to change the way to party! As we all know nothing can compare to a live performance and therefore we have created the Rewind Show! We want to bring an experience like no other by combining the live music of the 80's Rock & Roll era along with the best DJ's spinning the present hits. Every Saturday night, the Highline Ballroom will operate as a high-end night club to let people experience the Rewind Show. (http://therewindshow.com/)

Monday, June 7
THE BRAND NEW HEAVIES feat. N'Dea Davenport
Produced by: Jill Newman Productions
Doors at 7:00pm, Show at 9:00pm
$27.50 adv, $30 at door
The Brand New Heavies return to New York on Monday 7th June 2010 for another intimate performance at Highline Ballroom. At their last performance at the Highline in October 2009, to support the release of their "Live In London" CD release, the band surprised their fans with special guest performances from Pharoahe Monche, Sadat X, Masta Ace, Large Professor and new MC Torae, who freestyled over an improvised section of the show - a throw back to the influential Heavy Rhyme Vol. 1 album the band released in the early 90s, which featured MCs rapping over live music created by the band. This can now be viewed on youtube on the band's TBNHTV channel. The Heavies are currently finalizing a mini album of new material, which will be released in the summer via EMI. Expect to hear all your favourite songs at this performance, including Never Stop, Stay This Way, Brother Sister and Dream On Dreamer, and one or two surprises too!

Wednesday, June 9
EASY STAR ALL STARS
with J. Viewz
**Moved to Hiro Ballroom, 371 W 16th St - all tickets honored**
Doors at 7:00pm, Show at 9:00pm
$16 adv, $18 at door
After a year in which they played 125 shows in 25 different countries on 6 continents, the Easy Star All-Stars are excited to finally be playing at home again. Amidst all of that touring, the New York-based band had not appeared in their hometown since June 2009 when they played to over a thousand people in the rain at Stuyvesant Town. This time, on Wednesday, June 9, they will be playing at a new venue for them, the hip and elegant Hiro Ballroom in the famous Maritime Building on 9th Avenue in Chelsea. The band will run through songs from all three of its hit reggae tribute albums, including Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band, their reworking of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's, which cracked the Billboard Top 200 twice last year. The All-Stars will be joined for this show by the award winning Electronica project J.Viewz, with its unique live act ranging from Breakbeat and Nu-Jazz to Electro and Reggae.

Thursday, June 10
T-SLAM
Doors at 7:00pm, Show at 9:00pm
$40 adv, $45 at door
In 1981, a new rock band, T-SLAM, released their debut album. Titled after their huge hit single, the album "Loud Radio" soon reached double-platinum status. Following this success with a ground-breaking tour, T-SLAM became the biggest Israeli rock group ever. T-Slam released two more albums before breaking up in 1983, after an unforgettable farewell tour. Reuniting and breaking up over the years, the Summer of 2009 saw T-Slam touring again with a spectacular stage show, culminating in a triumphant show at the Roman Amphitheater in Caesaria. Don't miss T-Slam at Highline Ballroom.

Saturday, June 12
DOUG STANHOPE
Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 8:00pm
$25
Doug hit the stand-up comedy road, living out of six cars over three years until the bright shining day when The Industry found him at the 1995 Vail Comedy Festival. Combined with winning that year's San Francisco Comedy Competition, this gave Doug the misguided wherewithal to move back to Los Angeles where he was named one of Variety's top ten stand-ups to watch. The rest wasn't history so we have to go on. While continuing to build his stand-up reputation, Doug took on a number of exciting broadcast opportunities, including both Fox's WHEN HIDDEN CAMERAS ATTACK (2002) and the notorious 5th season of THE MAN SHOW (2004), a mismatched televisual ode to paying off gambling debts. With 3 CDs, 3 DVDs - including his own Showtime special NO REFUNDS (2007) - and many internet bootlegs spreading his word around the world, and helped by numerous appearances on the Howard Stern Show, Doug now bases himself out of Bisbee, Arizona, continuing to record, tour, pander, subvert and cancel according to the demands of supporting dogs Ichabod, Henry Philips and Bingo his Bipolar Girlfriend.

Sunday, June 13
RACHID TAHA
Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 8:00pm
$18 adv, $20 at door
The French-Algerian musician's breakthrough album as a solo artist was Diwân, featuring remakes of songs for the Algerian and Arab traditions. His album Tékitoi, produced by Steve Hillage and released in 2004, also brought him great acclaim and recognition from other rock musicians. In 2005 he performed with Robert Plant, Patti Smith and Brian Eno. He covered The Clash song "Rock the Casbah" (in Arabic, as "Rock El Casbah"), which appeared in the 2007 film about Clash frontman Joe Strummer, The Future Is Unwritten.

Monday, June 14
COREY SMITH
with Adam Ezra Group
Doors at 6:00pm, Show at 8:00pm
$15 adv, $20 at door
Corey Smith melds country, rock and blues into a sound that is all his own. That distinctive musical flair combined with Smith's pensive, well-crafted lyrics and soulful Southern voice has earned him an enthusiastic legion of fans.
