'Her Majesty' with Owens & Augello in FRIGID NY Festival
San Francisco's EXIT Theatre presents Sean Owens' Her Majesty at the FRIGID New York Festival, February 28 - March 8, 2008.
Playwright-Performer of last year's hit, Naught But Pirates, Owens joins San Francisco's Mistress of Characters, Christina Augello, in a door-slamming quick-change farce-for-two where queens of every kind collide and quick changes and theatrical follies soon give way to the folly of theatre.
Her Majesty is one of 30 shows in the second annual FRIGID New York theatre festival, February 27-March 9, co-produced by New York's Horse Trade Theatre and San Francisco's EXIT Theatre at three venues in New York's East Village. Owens' performance of his solo "swish-and-swashbuckler," Naught But Pirates won him the Audience Choice Award at last year's FRIGID New York. Christina Augello, as the Baroness Elsa von Freytag Loringhoven, "appropriated" The Red Room in 2006 in her solo show, Last of the Red Hot Dadas.
Her Majesty runs for six performances at The Red Room, 85 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10003. Shows are February 28 at 7:30 pm, March 1 at 5:30 pm, March 2 at 5:30 pm, March 5 at 9:00 pm, March 6 at 10:30 pm, and March 8 at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $15.
