A star-studded cast has been assembled for the George Street Playhouse's upcoming production of Falsettos.

The 1992 musical, with a score by Tony Award-winner William Finn (Spelling Bee) and a book by Finn and Tony Award-winner James Lapine (Spelling Bee, Into the Woods), will be presented at the New Brunswick, NJ theatre from April 10-May 6; it will open on April 13.

The production of Falsettos - which was the Broadway consolidation of the Off-Broadway musicals March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland - will star Colin Hanlon as Whizzer, Liz Larsen as Trina, Sarah Litzsinger as Cordelia, Malcolm Morano as Jason, Anne L. Nathan as Charlotte, Mark Nelson as Mendel, and Michael Winther as Marvin.

The show is, according to George Street notes, "the Tony Award-winning landmark musical about a lovably dysfunctional Jewish-American family.  Can Marvin hang on to a tight-knit family that includes his his ex-wife Trina and their 12 ? year old son Jason — as well as Trina's new husband Mendel, Marvin's lover Whizzer and the lesbians from next door?"
