Jonathan Groff, current star of Broadway's HAMILTON and lead in the HBO series LOOKING, has lined up his next small screen project. TVLine writes that the actor will appear in David Fincher's upcoming MINDHUNTER series on Netflix.

MINDHUNTER is based on the 1996 nonfiction book MIND HUNTER: INSIDE THE FBI'S ELITE SERIAL CRIME UNIT by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker. It centers on Douglas, a former FBI special agent and unit chief, considered one of the first criminal profilers.

LOOKING's two-hour movie will air later this year on HBO. Groff's other TV credits include THE NORMAL HEART, GLEE and BOSS. He also voiced the role of 'Kristoff' in Disney's animated mega-hit FROZEN and its follow-up short FROZEN FEVER.

Aside from his role as 'King George III' in Broadway's HAMILTON, Groff has recently taken the stage in Encores! Off-Center's A NEW BRAIN. He is well known for starring in the original cast of SPRING AWAKENING. Among Groff's other stage credits are IN MY LIFE on Broadway, THE SUBMISSION, THE SINGING FOREST and PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY off-Broadway, and DEATHTRAP in the West End.
