In light of the recent tragedy at an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, the cast of HAMILTON will no longer be using muskets in their Tony Awards performance this evening, according to New York Times theatre reporter Michael Paulson.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Awards this evening will be dedicated to the victims of the Orlando shooting.

The Tony Awards released a statement earlier this morning:

"Our hearts are heavy for the unimaginable tragedy that happened last night in Orlando. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those affected. The Tony Awards dedicate tonight's ceremony to them. "

Our hearts go out to them from all of BroadwayWorld as well.
