Lemon Tree Productions is pleased to announce the world premiere production of Glimpses of the Moon, a new musical directed by Marc Bruni. Glimpses of the Moon will play an 8-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Oak Room in the Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th Street, between 5th and 6th Ave.).

Performances begin Monday, January 14 and continue until Monday, March 3. Press night is Monday, January 21 at 8PM.

Glimpses of the Moon is the first original musical created specifically for the intimate wood-paneled Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel. Set in 1922, Glimpses of the Moon follows the jazzy whirl of Manhattan society, from champagne-soaked dinner parties, to luxurious vacation cottages and back to New York's elegant hotels.

Glimpses of the Moon is one of Edith Wharton's few comedies, though not without its share of heartaches. "Popular but penniless, Suzy Branch and her friend Nick Lansing devise the ultimate fund-raising scheme: to marry and live off the wedding gifts while they help one another find suitable millionaires. The plan works perfectly – until they fall in love," explain press notes.

Casting director Geoff Josselson is finalizing the 6-person cast. Each performance will feature a special guest star appearance by various well-known cabaret singers.

Glimpses of the Moon plays every Monday at 8PM through Monday, March 3, 2008.

Tickets are $50 (plus a $30 food and beverage minimum or $50 prix fixe dinner). For reservations, please call Barbara McGurn at the Oak Room: 212 419-9331 or bmcgurn@algonquinhotel.com. Visit our website www.GlimpsesOfTheMoon.com
