The New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) opens its 20th Anniversary season on October 16 and 18 at 8PM with "No Song is Safe From Us," an evening of song encompassing four musical genres that have become NYFOS hallmarks: art song, songs by contemporary American composers; Latin song from the Iberian Peninsula to Cuba and South American, and American popular song; Composers range from Mompou to Musto, Grieg to Guettel, and Bernstein to Berlin.

The evening is composed of highlights from four past NYFOS concerts: Latin Lovers  (Latin song); Since the Seventies (contemporary American songs); (Songs of the Midnight Sun) art song: in this case, Scandinavian; and Songs of Peace and War  (popular song).  The concerts take place at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, 57th Street and 7th Avenue.

Artists will include sopranos Michelle Areyzaga and Jennifer Aylmer, tenor Javier Abreu, baritone William Sharp, and eight students from the Juilliard School's Vocal Arts Department, with Steve Blier and Michael Barrett at the piano.
