Galli Theater adds third location to reach more children with its fairy tale performances in New York City.

Starting in April, Galli Theater will perform on Saturdays, and Sundays at 2 p.m., and on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. at its new location at the South Street Seaport Mall. Kids will be enchanted by the stories of Cinderella, Princess Labam, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and the Little Mermaid from April through July. All performances are followed by an acting workshop for kids.

"We are excited to offer Galli shows for audiences in Downtown Manhattan. The South Street Seaport location is beautiful, and has amazing views at the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River. This third location gives us the opportunity to spread the joy and wisdom of fairy tales to an even bigger audience in New York City," said Tatjana Maya MD, Director of Galli Theater.

Galli Theater continues its fairy tale performances at the Midtown location on 347 West 36th Street, and at the Bruckner Restaurant in the Bronx.

UPCOMING SHOWS AT THE SEAPORT
APRIL - CINDERELLA
Galli's adaptation is an uplifting remake of the original Grimm story about a pure-hearted girl who loses her mother but finds her prince. Underlying this story of overcoming hardships and finding love, there is the concept of bullying. Cinderella is constantly ridiculed and bullied, just as many children are today. But in the world of theater and the Galli method of acting, this may not be such a horrible thing.
APRIL & MAY - PRINCESS LABAM (Sun at 11:30 a.m. starting April 10th)
The magical story with colorful costumes and Bollywood music will enchant audiences every Sunday in April and May at 11:30 a.m. In this Indian fairy tale a prince leaves his home to look for the beautiful, mysterious Princess Labam. On his journey through the Indian jungle he encounters magical friends, and acquires magical objects which help him find the way to Princess Labam.
MAY - LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Galli's Little Red Riding Hood is the fairy tale story of a little girl who is seduced by a mean and witty wolf, and then devoured. Little Red engages its audience in song, dance, and comedy along her journey to grandmother's house. The Wolf is almost likable and definitely funny when he asks the kids to howl along and to help him find Little Red.
JUNE - RAPUNZEL
Rapunzel lives in a tower guarded by the witch. One day, a prince discovers her and comes climbing up. But the witch will not tolerate this! Kids get engaged by helping Rapunzel, and her prince find each other again.
JULY - LITTLE MERMAID
In this uplifting remake of the original Hans Christian Anderson story a young Mermaid gives up her life under the sea to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince. The wicked Sea Witch gives her human legs in exchange for her beautiful voice. But how can she now express her love?

THE WORKSHOP
The theater group invites kids to join the after-show workshop where they are encouraged to act out their favorite fairy tale character and dress up in costumes. "This allows them to unleash emotions they may not otherwise be able to express during their normal lives," said Tatjana Maya MD, Director of Galli Theater. The workshop is followed by a performance for the adults.
