In honor their Black History Month Highlights, The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, The Harlem Arts Alliance and The Broadway League will recognize a select group of actors, playwrights, producers for their outstanding contributions in the theatre on and off-stage. The event will take place on February 28th at the Gran Piatto d'Oro (1429 5th Avenue@ 116th & 117th Street).

The list will include the following:

Ruby Dee (actor)
Ruben Santiago-Hudson (actor/director)
George Faison (choreographer)
Woodie King, Jr. (producer)
Phylicia Rashad (actor)
Tamara Tunie (actor/producer)
Jeffrey Wright (actor)
Irene Gandy (Broadway Publicist)
Donna Walker- Kuhne (Marketing Specialist)
Patricia Cruz (Producer of Harlem Stage and Aaron Davis Hall)
Howard Dodson (Schomberg Center for Black Research Emeritus)
August Wilson (playwright-posthumously)
The Shubert Organization (for their commitment to presenting works by African-Americans playwrights, directors and actors).

The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) originally incorporated in 1886 as the Harlem Board of Trade, is now in its third century of continued services to the Upper Manhattan area in general and the New York region in particular. Today, the mission of our Chamber is to improve the quality of life for all of our residents, as well as to develop and attract quality business and professional services.
