Good Intentions Productions and The New York International Fringe Festival will present Peter Zablotsky's The Pool with Five Porches, which will be at The Players Loft, 115 MacDougal Street, 3rd floor.  Performances begin on Sunday, August 13th and runs will run through Saturday, August 26th.

The show "is about two men in desperate need who wait, along with an untold number of unseen others. The play takes place at the edge ofThe Pool with Five Porches perhaps the purgatory of pain; perhaps the fountain of hope.  The pool is believed to have the power to heal, but the catch is that only the first person to enter the pool after the waters start to roil will be healed; the rest must continue to wait, or be forever denied their miracle," as press notes describe the show, which will be directed by John Ahlers.

The cast includes Kent Jackman (The Winter's Tale, Arena Stage and Zablotsky's Off The Meter) and Scott Whitehurst (Black Eagles, Manhattan Theatre Club and Merchant of Venice, Pearl Theatre).

Zablotsky's first play, Off The Meter, was selected for presentation at the 24th Annual O'Neill Theater Center National Playwrights Conference (Lloyd Richards, Artistic Director); selected for the 4th Annual GeVa Theatre French Roast Festival (Anthony Zerbe, Artistic Director); performed at Theatre for the Open Eye (Amie Brockway, Artistic Director), selected for the 14th Annual Samuel French/Double Image Short Play Festival, and was presented Off-Broadway in NYC at The Hudson Guild Theatre in 2000. His play H. Finn, Esq. was produced Off-Broadway at the Kaufman Theatre on Theater Row. An earlier version of The Pool with Five Porches won the Georgia National One-Act Play Contest. His play, Who's Not Ready Holler I, was selected for the FringeNYC 2003 New York International Fringe Festival and has since been performed regionally.
